All three of them are involved in legal in some way. All of them have kids. This was their first time in the US. We talked about family, travel, and career story.
We also talked about transparency in the government, which was the theme of their visit.
Georgia seems to have a clean and functioning government.
In Hungary, moderate amount of corruption is good. Too little, people think you are incompetent.
In Vietnam, you could not use the word corruption until recently.
People are optimistic about their own country. Hungary is growing fast. That is why corruption is tolerated. Georgians have active and engaged citizen. Vietnam is growing; but sometimes perhaps too slow.
Salome gave us a Khantsi, a traditional Georgian wine drinking horn. Adam gave us a commemorative coin, and Ha gave us a set of dinner table place mat and a wind chime.
Dinner Menu: Stew beef, buttered egg noodles, roasted carrots, roasted Brussel sprouts, Brad's summer salad, and a cheese board. The stew was a little more watery than I prefer. The beef was not soft enough. I should use short ribs next time.
